LEVACO Chemicals GmbH, with its headquarters and production site in Chempark Leverkusen, has decades of experience in the production of process chemicals for agrochemicals, fibre production, the cable industry and food production, as well as in paper production, paints, coatings and construction materials. Another business area of LEVACO Chemicals GmbH is the production and modification of various specialty chemicals for well-known chemical companies.

We are a leading manufacturer of specialty chemicals and additives such as defoamers, dispersants, emulsifiers, wetting agents, flocculants and fixing agents.
An experienced and international team, with in-depth knowledge in the development, production and application of the products, serves customers around the globe.

LEVACO Chemicals GmbH is part of the LEVACO Chemicals Group, headquartered in Bremen, Germany, and is a globally positioned company with partners located worldwide. It combines LEVACO Chemicals GmbH, LEVACO Austria GmbH and LEVACO Far East Ltd. to form a future-oriented group of companies.


2022

The DEFOTEC Entschäumer Vertriebs-GmbH merges with LEVACO Chemicals GmbH on January 1st, 2022. LEVACO Chemicals GmbH becomes the company's legal successor in all areas.

Formation of the new subsidiary LEVACO Austria GmbH for the business unit Antifoam & Food Solutions.


2019

Since March 2019, 74.9% of DEFOTEC Entschäumer Vertriebs-GmbH, located in Krefeld, is now owned by LEVACO Chemicals GmbH. DEFOTEC is a leading company for process chemicals for the support and optimisation of processes in the food, paper and cable industry as well as many other industries. LEVACO looks forward to the new paths that now can be travelled based on this cooperation.

As a former member of the BAYER Group, we have more than 50 years of experience in the fields of textile auxiliaries, leather auxiliaries, paper auxiliaries, agrochemicals and specialties based on alkoxylation reactions. After several years working within the structures of LANXESS and TANATEX, we, LEVACO Chemicals Group GmbH, are now offering independently and on a global scale our product range and services.

LEVACO Chemicals GmbH is a subsidiary of the Diersch & Schröder Group.

Diersch & Schröder was founded in 1920 and has since evolved from a lubricant and mineral oil merchant into a modern energy and chemical company. The family-owned Bremen based company operates in the mineral oil, fuel depot, renewable energy sources, chemicals and IT fields, employing more than 400 staff at its various locations. Economy and efficiency are key factors in the group's activities and their ethics extend to the careful and conscious use of environmental resources and acceptance of their social responsibility.
